Men's Diamond Wedding Bands - Remember the 4 C's When Purchasing

Buying a mens diamond wedding ring can be one of the hardest and most important decisions in your life. Unfortunately, often the wedding planning is brought to the foreground and the bands are purchased as an afterthought. When purchasing your rings, be sure that you consider the 4 C's when it comes to your diamond. You want your ring to be an asset which is valuable both materially, aesthetically, and emotionally for the rest of your life.
The 4 C's are considered the standard guidelines for purchasing a diamond. The higher the quality of each of these elements and the more the diamond is worth.
So, what are the 4 C's?
1. Cut. Although often mistaken for it, the cut is not the shape, but instead, the quality of the cut. This effects the brilliance or sparkle of the diamond.
2. Clarity. The clarity of a diamond tells you whether there are any imperfections in the stone. It is extremely rare and expensive to find a stone which has no visual imperfections. Many diamonds have imperfections, but cannot be seen unless magnified to 10x. These are usually fine for a ring.
3. Color. Unless you are specifically looking for a diamond of color-which are rare but can be very nice, you will usually want your diamond to be of no color. The color on a diamond ranges from no color to yellow/brown.
4. Carat. Carat refers to the size of a diamond determined by weight. Every Carat is equal to.2 grams or 200 mgs. Although this characteristic most effects the price, it least effects the beauty of the diamond.
Remember to keep the 4 C's in mind when shopping for mens diamond wedding bands. These can make all the difference in the quality and beauty of your ring. This will last a lifetime and you should be careful when choosing it as so.
