Advice for Scheduling Limo Services

When reserving a limousine for any type of event, it is critical that you plan your day almost down to the minute. If you don't know exactly the date, times and locations of the planned activities you are setting yourself up for disaster. You could end up without a ride at all on your special day, which would be the worst possible scenario. So, follow this advice so you can be sure your event will go off without a hitch.
Day or Night?
Are you planning a day event or a night event? This will determine the cost of your rental as well as your driver, since some drivers only work days and others only work nights. Carefully plan out when each activity is supposed to take place during the event so you will know exactly when you will need a driver. Be sure to build in extra time if you are reserving a limo for a wedding where pictures usually take longer than expected or for a nighttime party that ends up spilling over into the wee hours of the morning. These are all contingencies that must be planned for. If they aren't, you will either end up paying a huge amount in overage fees or without a car altogether.
Pickups and Drop-offs
After you have each activity planned, you can determine the pickup and drop-off times to give to the Limo services company you choose. They will be able to give you an accurate cost based on the times you will require their services. Remember that companies typically require you to rent the limo for a minimum number of hours, so take advantage of the time you are paying for by scheduling all the pickups and drop-offs that you can during that time period.
Always build in more time than you think you will need. Events never seem to run on time even though you have the best intentions for it to be perfect. If you think you will need the limo for longer than the minimum hours, reserve it for a longer time. Do not try to squeeze everything in because you will feel rushed and stressed. If you end up not needing the extra time, it is still better to pay this extra than to pay the extra overage fees. They are usually very high and could end up costing more than the original rental price.
Remember that schedules are what Limo services rely on when giving you a quote. If you don't have your plans at least somewhat firm, you could end up with an experience you would rather forget.
